Choice Neon Tigers!

3rd and 4th Grade Choice students have worked SO hard on their neon tigers! I am beyond impressed with how they all turned out!

The completed projects:

3rd Grade Crazy Hair Day

3rd Grade students drew themselves having a crazy hair day! The final steps were blowing around watercolor paint with straws!

2nd Grade Not Another Snowstorm!

The 2nd Grade artists recently completed their "Not Another Snowstorm!" Project. They all turned out so well!

1st Grade Mouse Paint

1st Grade artists read the book Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh. They learned that the 3 primary colors can mix together to create the 3 secondary colors. We can look at these like math problems:

Red + Yellow = Orange
Red + Blue = Purple
Blue + Yellow = Green

Students mixed colors and created their own versions of Mouse Paint!

2nd Grade Japanese Scrolls

2nd Graders are working on creating Japanese Scrolls.

Step 1: Use two chalk pastels and blend them together.

Step 2: Blow watered-down black paint around with a straw to look like ink.

Step 3: Add cherry blossoms using tissue paper. Add Popsicle sticks, your name and voila!

Choice Patterned Coffee Cups

The students in Art Choice did a fantastic job completing their patterned coffee cups!
